Communication between the different source systems and the reporting system is indispensable in order to integrate process data in the reporting environment. The standards @aglance and OPC are available to achieve this.
IAP delivers a Connect IT product for both communication standards with which you are able to collect the ‘real time’ process data and store it in a relational database, such as a SQL-server. As already indicated in the name, relations between the different process data can be utilized this way. Data can be retrieved on fixed points in time or based on an “event”, for instance a process alarm. In that case, the data can be analysed afterwards in order to find out what the cause of this disruption was.
If so desired, it is possible to write data from the SQL-server into the process control environment.
